He's potting on seedlings, sleeves rolled, radio murmuring somewhere. You'll want to hold them by the leaf, not the stem. He demonstrates without looking up. Lose a leaf, it grows another. Crush the stem and that's the whole plant. Now he looks up, pleased with himself. People are the same way, I find.
